WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A PRODUCT GOES ON BACKORDER?

We work very hard to create a system that nearly eliminates backorders. With multiple vendor associations, we almost always have inventory ready and we try to make sure that the next shipment arrives before we run out.

If an item is out-of-stock, it displays a status of "On Backorder" on the shopping cart. Even if a product is labelled "On Backorder" in our store, it is still available for order and we try to procure it ASAP within few days.

When a full order is backordered, nothing is shipped until the items are back in-stock. We'll notify you by email within 2 working days of your purchase any time items are unavailable. Once the items return to inventory, we’ll get your order packaged and shipped, and send a second email to let you know it’s on the way.

In case of partial backorder, most of the time the available items are shipped right away. The backordered items are shipped separately as soon as they become available. If an order is shipped in multiple packages, we may charge for the split shipment. We believe in getting you what you paid for as quickly as possible.

We know how frustrating it is to wait for one last thing, so if you’d prefer not to wait for an item to return to inventory, you can swap it for something similar or remove it from the order completely at time of checkout. In very rare situations, orders for products that have been on backorder for more than 25 days are automatically cancelled and an email/message notification is sent.
